Carson is running from his past. Having lost everything, he feels like God has abandoned him. Full of anger and bitterness, he wants nothing to do with church, or the people who attend it. In a twenty-four hour period, by chance, he runs into an old man and his granddaughter, a deputy, a stranger at a soccer game, a business owner, and a young man who is a reflection of himself. All of them show him mercy without judgment, and Carson’s heart begins to soften.
Amidst a group of Christians, Carson finds compassion, acceptance, and friendship.
Sandy, a member of this group, has been working and raising her little sister—wondering what God is doing with her life. She finds herself drawn to Carson with a strong desire to help him overcome the pain of his past.
Slowly, Carson turns back to God with the help of his new friends, but soon they find themselves entangled in the consequences of a single desperate man’s choices. As lives hang in the balance, Carson will discover that he is not the only one who is in the process of becoming unbroken.

This is a definite must read! A compelling story of love conquering fear; of courage, and learning to LIVE in the midst of the all too real struggles and challenges we experience. A beautifully tender, down to earth, story that will have you laughing, crying, gripping your seat, and rooting for Carson, Sandy, young Grace, and all the other characters. Robin L. Warren just keeps getting better and better: Becoming Unbroken is my favorite so far! Can't wait to read the author's next offerings...

I read this book in manuscript, & I loved it. Unlike some Christian novels, this one is realistic about how Christians suffer & struggle with their faith. But it doesn't stop there. It also shows how God's love (channeled through imperfect people) draws others to Him.
Robin Warren is a gifted writer. She produces interesting & exciting plots, and she creates characters a reader can identify with & care about. This is at least the third of her novels I've read, & I highly recommend all of them. (I've taught English for many years, & I don't make such commendations lightly.)

I read this in manuscript, and found this to be an amazing book. One of those that is difficult to put down. The story and the characters seem to draw you in so that you actually feel like you are part of the story, visually seeing the people, the scenery and all that is going on. I found that even after I finished I was still thinking of the characters, still rembering the moments.
Robin Warren is a very talented author. I have read her two previous books, each one unique in it own way. I would recommend that all three become part of your library.
5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring and uplifting!

I truly enjoyed this uplifting story of a community of friends who learn to lean on each other and carry each other's burdens. Themes of redemption, self sacrifice, and divine love are laced throughout a plot of romance, action, and suspense.
